The GR10 or Traversée des Pyrénées is a trek that crosses the Pyrénées mountains on natural trails, and is generally well marked. The trail provides views of valleys, peaks, and mountain passes. The GR10 is a hike that should not be taken lightly. An excellent experience of the mountain environment, a good physical condition, and knowledge of orienteering is necessary during this crossing between the Atlantic and the Mediterranean. |
This 887.6-km is generally considered a very challenging route, with over 56,000m of elevation gain. It is popular for section backpacking, camping, and hiking, you'll likely encounter other people while exploring this majestic mountain range. The best times to visit this trail are June through September.
